The Berkshire Jewish Film Festival is celebrating 40 years! This year's festival will run for six consecutive Mondays, from July 6 to August 10, bringing powerful, thought-provoking films to the Berkshire community.
This year’s selections promise to spark conversation, deepen understanding, and entertain audiences of all backgrounds.

3:30 pm - Among Neighbors
Among Neighbors tells the haunting story of a Polish town where centuries of coexistence between Jews and Catholics collapsed in the shadow of World War II. The discord culminated in a shocking massacre, not under Nazi occupation, but months after Germany’s defeat. This powerful documentary plays like a real-life murder mystery, excavating buried truths of violence, complicity, and silence.
7:30 pm -Dust Bowls and Jewish Souls: Another Side of Woody Guthrie
Did you know that Woody Guthrie once wrote a song in celebration of Hanukkah? Dust Bowls and Jewish Souls uncovers the surprising bond between the legendary folk singer and his mother-in-law, renowned Yiddish poet Aliza Greenblatt. This movie reveals how Jewish history and culture quietly wove itself into the Guthrie songbook.
